Questions for the angels

Questions for the angels
Who believes in angels?
Fools do
Fools and pilgrims all over the world

Fools believes in angels? In the teachings of the lord Buddha, there’s a phrase that even some of his disciples todays don’t believe, he says:”all are made from mind alone.” So if anyone truly believes in angles, there surely will be angles for him, and if he believes that angles will help him, he will get help.

I believe in this notion of mind alone made everything, and

I see it from the simplest sense, that is; who thinks your thought? your mind, that is, and so mind thinks thought and thoughts made world. I wasn’t arrive at this understanding purely thru Buddhism, but thru some other master, or teachings. One of it is The Teachings of Abraham. She says that thinking has power, and whatever your mind can think about the universe can deliver. Another similar saying comes from Napoleon Hill, he says whatever the minds can conceived and believe it can achieved. Zen master Bon Soeng says mind made everything, if we don’t get underneath that, it’s just playing with the branches and the leaves…

Mind made everything
Once about ten years ago, I attended a 7 days retreat seminar. It was kind of an advance Buddhist course in north of Malaysia, the title of the seminar says so: ”advance Buddhist course and retreat class.”. I was a newbie to Buddhism at the time, but they accepted me and my friends in, maybe it was out of their compassion that they did so. So as I was there I got a chance to meet the invited speaker from Taiwan, he is a somewhat famous monk in Chinese speaking Buddhist communities in Malaysia and Taiwan. When I am with him alone I ask him a question that all newbie will (of course in Chinese speaking Buddhist communities newbie that is.). I ask: “ is there really exist a western pure land? ” Quietly he stare at me for a moment, like he can read my mind or something, but I was sincere and without any fearful emotion I waited for the answer..He ask: “What do you think, is this world that you are living real or not?”. I answer: “Yes, I think it is real.” . “So the western pure land is real than.” He says. I think to myself at that time, wow! this is truly a great teacher, he really knows the teaching and the answer is base on the scripture.

Looking back on it now, I laugh at myself, actually he don’t know anything, he himself were doubtful about the western pure land. So he is a smart teacher, who gave smart answer. These kind of teacher gives deep theories about the Buddha’s teachings, so deep that it’ll take years for you to grasp any. The problem is sometime they also forgot that mind is the main cause, they’ll starts to explain to you about the physical phenomena of cause and effect, about impermanent, about emptiness, about egoless and so on and so forth….and about practise  also, you do this you do that and you can attain this and that, but one who listen to their advice must ask a basic question, if I practise accordingly will I truly attain what he says I would, since he himself been doing it for so long without any result. I asked that question some years ago and I think to myself, if I really practice that way I can never attain anything myself, so I start looking for some meaningful way within myself. In a way, this kind of teaching also help me find my own way, and I am thankful for that.

This is what Abraham has to say about thinking, I made this video to share his view. I own nothing of the content used in this video, all come from searches from the wonder of internet…
